Overall my experience has been positive, not in small part due to the counselors, both in detox and in SLT. I appreciate that most if not all of them have come through the program and can therefore relate to clients. I also appreciate the fact that they have to deal with people from various life experiences, various situations and drugs of choice, etc., often as a a group, and they do it well. The holistic approach of the program (including mindfulness and physical exercise) is great. While I had initial resistance to some aspects of educational curriculum, it grew on me and I found the materials and exercises mostly useful.

I found Elevate incredibly helpful in my journey to recovery. I got to know myself better in terms of my thoughts, feelings and behaviors. I was looking for a place that would get down to the roots of my addiction and Elevate did just that. Staff is incredibly friendly and professional and I could relate to them all.

The program was very structured and regimented. This experience was good for the soul and mindful thinking really gave me time to reflect on the importance of thinking before acting.

I walked in a disastrous mess. I walked out a head held high woman. Everyone at the South Lake Tahoe Elevate was wonderful. Especially the kitchen counselors. They spoke straight, and that is what I needed. It was the best decision I have made in many years Rockie

Elevate saved my daughters life! She had been heavily drinking for just over a year and got kicked out of ASU due to her drinking. She earned a scholarship there and it was a huge shock to our family. We didn't know what to do, but our family friend had just gone through this with her son the previous year and recommended Elevate Addiction Services. Although she was resentful at first she stayed at Elevate the entire program and finally graduated February 2016. I am so happy I have my little girl back! I can not thank Elevate enough for what they have done for my family.

I had the pleasure of attending Elevate in 2016. I had been drinking for 14 years heavily. I tried 2 AA programs before I tried Elevate, one that was outpatient and one that was 30 days. I gave up hope for myself and felt as if I had failed my family. Luckily I was able to maintain my job as my addiction become more and more difficult to live with. I called them and was accepted into their program. I began at their Santa Cruz facility for the first 40 days which is when I decided to transition to the South Lake Tahoe Facility. I am extremely glad I did, the counselors at Tahoe made me feel like I was part of the family. They addressed not only my alcohol addiction but also rehabilitated my mind and body with vitamins and got me back into exercising. I am so thankful for the Elevate staff and the program as a whole. I would absolutely recommend Elevate to anyone that needs treatment.
